Tshwane Metro Police Department tactical unit members recover hijacked vehicle
Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) Tactical Unit members were conducting operational duties in the Rietgat area on Sunday, 11 August 2024, when they received a complaint regarding a silver Suzuki Swift vehicle that was hijacked and in motion in the Winterveld area.
The Tactical Unit members swiftly responded to the information and spotted the vehicle on one of the main roads in Winterveld. They stopped the vehicle which had two male suspects inside, one South African male suspect and one Tanzanian male suspect.
The suspects were both arrested for possession of a suspected hijacked vehicle and will appear in court soon.
The Tshwane Metro Police Department will not leave any stone unturned when it comes to combating crime.
