Suspect with stolen vehicle arrested

Yesterday afternoon, Empangeni vehicle crime investigators and the Inanda Tactical Response Team conducted a joint operation along the P266 road near the Amatikulu Sugar Mill at Gingindlovu.

The operation led to the arrest of a suspect who was found in possession of a stolen motor vehicle. The double-cab bakkie was allegedly reported stolen at the Villieria police station. The suspect was arrested and detained at the Gingindlovu police station. He was charged for being in possession of a stolen motor vehicle and is expected to appear before Gingindlovu Magistrate’s Court today facing the same charges.
