Suspects arrested for possession of suspected stolen vehicle

EASTERN CAPE – A Crime Intelligence is driven operation was conducted today, 15 September 2020, after members from Crime Intelligence received information about a suspected motor vehicle driving from Cradock direction.

Members from K9 quickly responded to the information and conducted a roadblock, the vehicle was spotted on the R61 and pulled over.

Five suspects between the age of 34 and 37 years were arrested. A preliminary investigation was conducted and revealed that the vehicle was hijacked at Western Cape on Sunday, 13 September 2020

All suspects were charged for possession of a stolen vehicle and will appear at Komani Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday 16 September 2020.
