Animals! Camera! Action! Using camera traps to save lives!

Today is World Earth Day – We would like to celebrate this by sharing a webinar talk hosted this morning by Wendy Collinson from the Endangered Wildlife Trust. This Wild Chat will expose how camera traps can save animals’ lives! Wendy will chat about the storm drains or underpasses we find under our roads, and how, although these structures were mostly not built or erected for the express purpose of being wildlife passages, we believe that many animals do use them to cross the road safely.

To test this, in a first for South Africa, we placed camera traps inside some of the tunnels on the N3 highway to see which animals are using them. Make sure to join this Wild Chat to find out what Wendy and her team have discovered and how these camera trap snaps can make our roads safer! This talk is suitable for all ages.
