Allianz welcomes new talent

Allianz Global Corporate Specialty (AGCS) Africa appointed Boitumelo Moate and Nomsa Mathega, as Junior Underwriters in Financial Lines recently. Financial Lines insurance addresses the liabilities of managers and professionals in today’s increasingly litigious and demanding business environment.

Boitumelo holds a BCom in Accounting. Before joining AGCS Africa, she worked as a Junior Cyber Risks and Commercial Crime Underwriter for a local insurer. She also worked in specialist corporate finance and investments, the public sector and corporate insurance. Her new role includes underwriting, business development, pricing and planning.

Nomsa is qualified in Insurance and is part of the Insurance Institute of Gauteng (IIG) Class of 2018, which develops and retains young talent within the insurance industry through exposure, experience and leadership development. She was previously a Specialist Underwriter for a South African insurer. With a few years in the insurance industry, she has worked on Financial Lines, Liability, Professional Indemnity (PI), as well as Cyber and Trustees Liability policies.

Based in Johannesburg, South Africa, AGCS Africa, is Allianz Group’s dedicated carrier for corporate and specialty insurance business in Africa. It provides insurance and risk consultancy across the whole spectrum of specialty, alternative risk transfer and corporate business: Marine, Energy, Engineering, Financial Lines, Liability, Mid-Corporate and Property insurance (including International Insurance Programs).
