The Insurance Apprentice: The Time is Ticking…

Few people understand the incredible opportunity for success and prosperity that exists in the insurance industry.

The challenge lies in roping in new talent as many people perceive the insurance industry as boring….well they are wrong and this is where The Insurance Apprentice comes in!

Series four of The Insurance Apprentice is set to take the insurance industry by storm once again as preparations get under way and applications for the 2018 installment take centre stage.

Applications for The Insurance Apprentice have been rolling in full speed ahead with just over 100 entries received from Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban.

Boasting career paths of the insurance industry the competition once again is proving to be attractive as it sees the likes of applicants from various age groups and professions apply for the competition.

For those who have not applied yet, this is a reminder to get the ball rolling as entries for the normal application close on 31 August. Shortcut video entries closed on 11 August.

If you missed the details this is how it goes…

Visit http://theinsuranceapprentice.co.za/apply-2018/ and fill out your application form and submit it. Please make sure you read about the process before you enter and remember to send us your application before 31 August 2017.

If you are younger than 35, have been in the short term insurance industry (any part of it) for four or more years, and you preferably hold some form of short term insurance studies or qualification, then this is just for you.

We are looking for young people who work in the short term industry, be it at a brokerage, insurer, underwriting manager, loss adjuster, administrator or anywhere else to enter this exciting programme.

Once entries close

Once applications close on 31 August, and the top thirty candidates are identified, regional rounds will take place during October in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town. If you have been chosen to go through to the second round, you will be notified mid-September.

For those candidates that make it through to the second round, elimination dates are as follows:

  • Durban 16 October;
  • Cape Town 17 October; and
  • Johannesburg 23 October

After the elimination rounds in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban eight apprentices for series four of The Insurance Apprentice will be revealed mid-November. Filming will take place from 7 to 12 January 2018. The series will be aired early 2018 via the FAnews and The Insurance Apprentice websites, YouTube and Facebook.

The winner will fly to London, in business class, for a week to visit Lloyds of London; the winner will also receive a bursary valued at R75 000 from INSETA and the winner wins a cash prize of R20 000 from Masifunde Training Centre.
