Housebreaking suspect caught red-handed in Isipingo Hills

A suspect caught a lucky break when he was let off with a stern warning after he was nabbed in the act breaking into a homeowner’s garage on Platt Drive in Isipingo Hills on Saturday.

The Alpha Alarms control room received an alarm activation and Alpha Response Units were immediately dispatched to the premises. The suspect attempted to flee but was apprehended by the Alpha Response officer.

No case was desired so the suspect was duly warned and released. It is alleged that the suspect is a known criminal and has recently been released from Westville Prison. It has further been alleged that the suspect is known to operate in the Isipingo Hills and Beach areas.
