Operation nets two suspects believed to be behind a string of vehicle-related thefts in Fourways

A joint operation involving CAP Specialised Operations, SAPS Johannesburg K9 Unit, Gauteng Traffic Police Airwing, and Tracker Connect led to the arrest of two suspects believed to be behind a string of vehicle-related thefts in the Fourways area.

Information was received about a Honda Jazz used in the commission of theft and theft out of motor vehicles. Authorities tracked the vehicle, which was identified bearing false registration plates.

As the suspects attempted to exit the area, the operational plan was executed, resulting in the arrest of two suspects.

Inside the vehicle, law enforcement officials recovered a stolen laptop, various other stolen items, and tools commonly used to break into vehicles. Further investigation revealed that the suspects had targeted a vehicle parked inside a hospital parking area.
