In order to gather valuable insights from their emerging customer base, Jetour South Africa conducted research to find out more about the likes, dislikes, expectations and opinions of their customers.

As the fastest growing Chinese brand in South Africa, Jetour sees understanding of their customer’s needs and preferences and building brand loyalty as key.

Jetour launched into the country in September last year with two SUV models – the versatile and stylish 7-seater X70 Plus and the dynamic and striking 5-seater Dashing. “Introducing a new vehicle into a market is only the start; how you treat your customers is what sets you apart from the competition,” says Nic Campbell, Vice President of Jetour South Africa. “It’s not about doing things differently but about doing things better.”

“Safe, luxurious, and excellent value for money; affordable yet packed with features; stylish and comfortable; high-spec technology at a competitive price; and a true showstopper” were just a few of the comments from satisfied new Jetour customers.

When asked about the features of the Jetour brand that surprised customers the most, the technology and infotainment was the most frequently mentioned response.

Features such as large touchscreen displays, seamless smartphone integration, and intuitive navigation systems have made a strong impression in the South African market. Feedback also showed that customers really enjoy the user-friendly interfaces, which allow for easy access to entertainment, connectivity, and vehicle settings.

The price was another feature that pleasantly surprised a significant number of customers. The Jetour X70 Plus is priced at R454,900 for the Momentum and R484,900 for the Deluxe, while the Jetour Dashing starts at R439,900 for the Momentum and R469,900 for the Deluxe, a highly compelling option in a competitive South African automotive market.

Other aspects of the Jetour Dashing and X70 Plus that received positive feedback from customers included design and exterior styling, interior amenities, and safety features. The brand’s strong focus on safety has led to the inclusion of advanced technologies such as driver assistance systems, which not only enhance convenience, but also elevate the overall driving experience.

This customer research also provided the brand with the opportunity to address customer concerns, further enhancing its service promise, and ensuring an even better overall experience.

These valuable insights are helping Jetour to further tailor its offerings to better meet the needs of South African consumers, enhance customer loyalty, and position the brand to sustain its strong growth trajectory as a new entrant in the market.
