Mossel Bay Municipality acting on illegal electricity connections
Illegal electricity connections, also known as “electricity theft,” involve unauthorized access to the electricity grid, bypassing meters, or tampering with them, posing safety risks and financial losses to utilities.
The Mossel Bay Municipality conducts regular joint operations to curb electricity theft through illegal electricity connections in collaboration with the South African Police Services (Public Order Protection Unit), the municipal tactical response unit and municipal K9 unit.
Yesterday, a joint operation was conducted in Great Brak River.
