Fraud and theft suspects apprehended by Mi7 Teams

Mi7 National Group yesterday successfully apprehended two suspects wanted for fraud and theft after intelligence gathered through our Surveillance Net led to their location.

The suspects were linked to a case at Brookside Mall last month, where they allegedly provided a fraudulent proof of payment and fled with a MacBook valued at approximately R20,000. A case was subsequently opened, and the suspects’ vehicle was loaded on the Mi7 Surveillance Net.

Then, yesterday, Mi7 Control Room Operators received a positive alert from the Surveillance Net on the vehicle in Allandale. Mi7 Reaction Officers were immediately dispatched, successfully tracking and intercepting the vehicle on Allandale Drive. One suspect was detained.

Upon the arrival of police, further investigations led to the whereabouts of an accomplice in the CBD. The man was found and arrested.
