Fire inspections conducted in the Mossel Bay Area

Mossel Bay Fire, Rescue and Disaster Management attended to several sites during the past week which is considered major hazard installations. These are considered high risk premises.

The MHI inspections were conducted to ensure compliance the SANS Regulations as well as the local authority by-laws.

Visits were conducted at PG Bison, Gourikwa power station and Seavuna Fishing Company. Furthermore, a fire safety inspection was conducted at Langeberg Mall. Atop, public education was done at a marine and career networking workshop hosted at the Dias Maritime Museum.

Groups that were involved in this insightful workshop included the Surfer Kid Foundation, Skipper Foundation, IKHAYA Community Group, iOcean Trust, Sea Cadets and lifeguards.
