Theft Suspect Identified As Wanted Armed Robber: Brindhaven- KZN

A 23 year old male that was earlier arrested by Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) has been identified as a sought after Armed Robbery suspect.

Reaction Officers responded to a call of a Theft of Lights in progress at a home on Larkspur Drive – Brindhaven at approx 14:36 (Saturday 12/06/2021). Upon arrival the homeowner provided a detailed description of the suspect that had stolen a sensor floodlight from the home.

Reaction Officers conducted a search for the suspect and located him attempting to flee through Boys Town. He was apprehended & restrained. The floodlight was recovered in a nearby bush.

The suspect was handed over to the South African Police Services (SAPS) who confirmed that the man was wanted for an Armed Robbery. The suspect had used a 9mm pistol and held up the complainants in an unrelated incident.

The suspect has been detained.
