Police management intervene by monitoring Disaster Management Act (COVID-19) Compliance

POLOKWANE – The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo Lieutenant General Nneke Ledwaba and his Management, the Deputy Provincial Commissioner responsible for Policing Major General Jan Scheeper, the Deputy Provincial Commissioner responsible for Crime Detection Major General Sam Manala, the Acting Provincial Head legal services Brigadier Rosina Mahloromela, the Provincial Head of Corporate Communication and Liaison Services Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo joined by the Saps Polokwane Station Commander Brigadier Gift Makhubela, have today on Monday the 04th May 2020, descended to Limpopo Mall in the City of Polokwane as part of the Provincial intervention to ensure that COVID 19 Regulations are adhered to by members of the community.

It was earlier reported that there was pandemonium in this mall when the social grant recipients pushed and shoved with mall revelers until the police arrived and sanity prevailed.

The mall manager and her operations manager were called in to answer questions pertaining to the lockdown down regulations. The situation was returned back to normal but the Police are still continuing to monitor it for any further eventualities.
