A man is seriously injured after he was run over by a train in Tongaat

A man was seriously injured after he was run over by a train in Tongaat – KZN.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to the scene by the public who found the intoxicated individual lying on the train tracks bleeding excessively from his injury.

On arrival, Medics found that part of the individual’s foot was amputated. He was stabilized on the scene before being transported to a Provincial Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

According to witnesses, the man was sleeping next to the railway tracks when the train, which was travelling from Stanger to Tongaat drove over his foot.
