Stolen property recovered in the Rosehill area, north of Durban

Whilst on routine patrol, a Marshall Security Armed Reaction officer noticed a man walking along a road in the Rosehill area, north of Durban, pushing two kiddie’s bicycles. The man appeared to walk faster after noticing the Marshall Security vehicle and the reaction officer’s suspicion grew.

An attempt was made to question the man as to where he was from and going to with two bicycles, however as our reaction officer approached the man, he dropped the bicycles and fled on foot into nearby dense bush. A search was conducted however the suspect remains at large.

The bicycles were handed over to the South African Police Services as property believed to have been stolen and were later claimed by their rightful owner who stated that she had noticed them missing from a garage on her property.
