One road, two trucks, two critical2

ER24 responded to two collisions on the R71 in Magoebaskloof this afternoon, both involving trucks. The first collision involved a truck that was transported steel. The truck allegedly lost control and collided with the armco barrier. Two people were injured in the collision. One patient sustained critical injuries and was treated and transported by ER24 to Mediclinic Tzaneen for further treatment. Another person sustained minor injuries and was treated and transported to the same hospital by another medical service on scene.

The second collision occurred about an hour after the first collision. It also involved a truck that allegedly lost control and overturned. ER24 was on scene and assisted another medical service provider in treating and transporting the critically injured patient to Mediclinic Tzaneen for further treatment.

The cause of both incidents is unknown, local authorities will investigate further.
